Enrichment is an essential part of life at the Academy.

As well as ensuring our students succeed in exams, we aim to develop character, compassion and service. Our aim is that all students will experience one thing they have never tried before, go to one place they have never been and become an expert in one thing they had never heard about. The Academy doors are open from 7:45am every morning as students take advantage of the wide variety of opportunities that exist outside the main curriculum.

We are incredibly proud to deliver an Education with Character; an education which challenges, inspires and excites our students and prepares them for the ups and downs of life.

Enrichment sessions will run every evening after school as detailed in the Enrichment timetable below.

Each term, students will be given the opportunity to select a different activity. Students will be registered each session on the central enrichment and activity tracker. At the end of each term, students who have attended one session a week or more will have access to the reward scheme.

To signify the importance and value of enrichment at the Academy, students will also be able to achieve the enrichment awards in bronze, silver and gold. Each term attendance data will be analysed and where students meet the criteria, they will be awarded this recognition at the end of term assembly in front of the whole school.
