I am Miss Royle and I will be your Head of Year when you start Year 7 at Accrington Academy.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all and being a key part of your journey through high school. I look forward to meeting you at our induction days and I know some of you are siblings to my current Year 11 students.
I am here to make sure you thrive through high school by working hard, expanding your talents and realising your potential. I will help you with any issues and make sure you feel part of our AA Team!
Through our TEAM values – Truth, Effort, Ambition and Manners – you will forge fantastic relationships with staff and students from all around the area. This is a very important and exciting time in your lives, and I welcome you all.

During your two days here as the Academy you will have the opportunity to:
Get to know our staff in a secondary setting.
Receive a full induction.
Familiarise yourself with the Academy whilst we are quieter as Year 11 will be on study leave.
Start making friends.
Complete some induction activities that will allow staff get to know you better.
Take part in some taster lessons.
Have any questions answered regarding your transition.
