Transition September 2025 Cohort

I would like to welcome you all officially to the Accrington Academy family. We are very much looking forward to you joining us in September, along with another 200 students in Year 7.

Transition from Primary to Secondary can often be a time of worry for both parent and child.

However, with the right guidance and support we hope to ensure that you transition with fewer concerns and a positive mindset to begin this next chapter of your school life.

At Accrington Academy, our intention is to provide an excellent education which brings out the best in all of our students and prepares you for success in education and life and achieves our mission statement of “building character, creating learners and transforming lives”.

As a school we aim to do this by offering an array of amazing enrichment opportunities from Sports teams, Music and Choir groups to Art and Photography clubs and a whole range of other new and exciting activities that you to try. Whatever your interests are, you will be sure to find like-minded people to share these new experiences with.
