Accrington Academy won the inaugural Year 7 Hyndburn Rugby League competition held at Highams playing fields after beating Mount Carmel 40 - 12 to take the spoils.

Man of the match was Balal Akram with an outstanding display of tackling and Joe Irving captained the side with distinction, and Conner Wickham was also outstanding.
