Accrington Academy 2009 ULT Enterprise Challenge Winners

On Thursday 25th November, four year 9 students travelled down to Lambeth Academy to take part in the annual ULT Enterprise Challenge. The aim of the challenge was to buy 'lego' parts in order to construct either a tractor or helicoptor or both and then sell onto prospective buyers. The team who made the most money by the end of the day was the winner. Accrington Academy won the challenge against 10 other academies from around the country. The girls were a credit to school not only through their excellent behaviour but their ability to work well as a team, to communicate effectively with the students from the other academies and to represent the school to the highest of standards. The students who represented Accrington Academy are Leah Yates, Lauren Toyne, Mia Laffy and Carys Wensley-Jones.
