6th Form Support

As an academy student, you will have an important part to play in our community. Each student and staff member brings their own story, experience and insight and together we are creating a happy, thriving academy that will benefit Accrington for generations to come.
While you are in the Sixth Form you will have a personal mentor who you will meet regularly on a one-to-one basis. You will be given support in your studies, applications for university or employment, careers or finance advice or help in finding work experience. Sixth Form students are attached to one of our four colleges and you will be able develop your leadership skills by acting as a supportive role model to younger students.

A laptop is available to use for the duration of your studies at Accrington the Academy and also the opportunity to benefit from our spectacular new facilities. As part of Accrington Academy Sixth Form, you will have access to the very best facilities including a dedicated common room, state-of-the-art ICT suits, drama and recording studios and the latest interactive technology.

Dress code
Sixth form students will be expected to wear smart, casual clothing, appropriate to a working environment.

Attendance
The academy places high propriety on good attendance and punctuality, as these are important factors that contribute to progress and the achievement of high standards.
